Bridge Engineer
Location: Adelaide, South Australia
Remuneration: AUD$90K - AUD$95K

Primary Position Purpose
- Structural design, detailing and documentation
- Identifying and resolving problems
- Deliver the tasks/projects within time and budget
- Assist Supervisor in the day to day management of projects
- Assist in the preparation of EOI's and proposals
- Assist in the production of technical reports
- Provide technical assistance, support, supervision and training to junior engineers
- Team leader on designated projects
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out detailed design and documentation
- Direction and supervision of drawing production and revision
- Review (Check) of design and documentation produced by juniors as directed
- Self Check of personal work produced
- Deliver the tasks/projects within time and budget
- Liaising with Supervisor and designated draftspersons on issues relating to the designated tasks/projects and the delivery of designated work packages on projects
- Strictly adhere to the Business Management System (BMS), Quality Management Systems (QMS) and OH&S procedures
Key Challenges
- Completion of tasks/projects within time and budget and to acceptable standard
- Development of knowledge in design codes, Road Authority Guidelines and Australian Standards
- Development of knowledge in analytical methods, tools and structural principles
- Development of knowledge in construction methods and construction forms
- Development in knowledge of QAS, EMS and OH&S
- Develop understanding of commercial and financial performance of tasks/projects undertaken
- Establish and build strong client and team relationships, and
- Contribute to the achievements of the Strategic Plan and business plans

Qualifications,skills and experience required
- Minimum five (5) years experience
- Chartered status (Corporate Member) of the Institution of Engineers, Australia or similar an advantage
- Knowledge of analysis and design software
- Knowledge of QAS, EMS and OH&S procedures
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
